Growing Bridgebuilders – Training the Trainers Day, London

November 3, 2016 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

| Free

Many struggle with conflict. Christians often avoid it – especially in the church. This practical resource will help people be better equipped for life together. It focuses on building bridges, and how to embrace and transform differences, tensions and conflicts as a way to grow a healthy Christian community.

Growing Bridgebuilders is a training pack which distils the core of Bridge Builders’ acclaimed training courses into an effective toolkit for leaders to use with their people. It has been developed jointly by Bridge Builders and CPAS.

The Pack

Everything you need to run the 8-session course is in the pack:

  • Planning materials
  • Leader’s guides
  • Participant handouts
  • Access to PowerPoint presentations.

The pack costs £47+PP and will be available to buy on the CPAS website from mid September 2016.

‘This is an excellent and accessible resource that can help transform the way tensions are handled within churches of every tradition.’ Rachel Treweek, Bishop of Gloucester

‘This course changes people’s lives.’ Course Leader

Training the Trainers Day

To get inside how to run Growing Bridgebuilders we encourage potential leaders of the course to attend one of our Training the Trainers days. They include:

  • An overview of the course
  • Hands on engagement with course material
  • Ideas on how to promote, prepare and run a course

The day runs from 10:00am to 4:00pm, and costs £80 including a Growing Bridgebuilders pack (normal pack price £47+PP), or £50 without a pack. A light lunch and refreshments are included.

Trainer

The training day will be led by Alastair McKay, co-author of Growing Bridgebuilders and former Executive Director and co-founder of Bridge Builders. He is serving a part-time curacy at St. Martin-in-the-Fields in London, and also works as a self-employed trainer, coach and consultant, mostly with the Church of England. Alastair has 20 years’ experience in training church leaders, along with a Doctor of Ministry degree from the University of Wales, and an MA in Conflict Transformation from Eastern Mennonite University.
