Payment methods

Payment options are shown when you go through the online booking process. Payments can be made by bank transfer, credit card or PayPal.

Cancellation policy for residential courses

Once accepted, the £100 deposit is not refundable. The full fee is owed if a place is cancelled within 8 weeks of the course start date – or 10 weeks in the case of Transforming Conflict 1 for Senior Christian Leaders.

To insure yourself against this loss in case of illness or emergency, Bridge Builders is working with Cancellation Plan to provide cancellation insurance.

Cancellation policy for open workshop days

A 50% refund will be given in the event of cancellations up to 14 days before the event. The full fee is retained if cancelling within 14 days of the event.

Your personal data – what is it?

“Personal data” is any information about a living individual which allows them to be identified from that data (for example a name, photographs, videos, email address, or address).  Identification can be by the information alone or in conjunction with any other information. The processing of personal data is governed by (the Data Protection Bill/Act 2017 the General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 (the “GDPR”) and other legislation relating to personal data and rights such as the Human Rights Act 1998).

Who are we?

This Privacy Notice is provided to you by Bridge Builders. ‘Bridge Builders’ is a working name of Bridge Builders Ministries registered charity no. 1145235, registered in England, company registration no. 7336077. Our full address is Bridge Builders, PO Box 3612, Barnet EN5 9RZ.

We act as data controller when we collect personal data from our customers, prospective customers, staff and other stakeholders.

We collect this data in the legitimate interests of supporting our work, and for some types of data collection for the performance of a contract. We will also ask for consent for data processing where appropriate. When we ask for personal data we will inform you of how we intend to manage it and what measures we will take to ensure its security.

How we collect data

Bridge Builders collects personal data through:

  • Contact forms
  • Job application forms
  • Surveys
  • Customers database
  • Etc

We will ensure that all personal information supplied is held in accordance with EU General Data Protection Regulation and UK Data Protection legislation.

Why we collect data

We collect the data in order to offer services and events to our customers and prospective customers. We use the data to send mailings: regular newsletter, occasional updates, prayer letter, details of courses and special offers. We also use the data collected to carry out administrative work.

Processing and consent

When we ask for personal data we will outline how we will use and manage it and, where appropriate, ask for your consent to do so.

We will not use this personal data for other purposes without asking your permission. We will not keep this information for longer than necessary. We will not use third parties to process your data without taking reasonable steps to ensure they comply with UK Data Protection legislation and EU General Data Protection Regulation.

We will never sell your data to third parties.

We do not store customer credit card details.

Further processing

If we wish to use your personal data for a new purpose, not covered by this Data Protection Notice, then we will provide you with a new notice explaining this new use prior to commencing the processing and setting out the relevant purposes and processing conditions.  Where and whenever necessary, we will seek your prior consent to the new processing.

Data location and security

Personal data is collected and stored securely subject to appropriate security measures and is protected against misuse.

Your personal data is held in electronic form. Electronic data is held on secure servers. We ensure that any third party contractors we use comply with the UK Data Protection legislation and EU General Data Protection Regulations. Data in paper form is held securely and destroyed securely.

The transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure and therefore we cannot guarantee the security of data sent to us electronically and the transmission of such data is entirely at your own risk. Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password so that you can access certain areas of our site, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential.

Bridge Builders’ website contains links to websites operated by third parties under different privacy policies.  Should you choose one of those links, you will be leaving the Bridge Builders site and this privacy notice will no longer apply.

Social Media

If you share our content through social media, for example by liking us on Facebook, following or tweeting about us on Twitter, those social networks will record that you have done so. They may set a cookie for this purpose.

As is the case for all cookies, we cannot access those set by social networks. Social networks cannot access cookies we set ourselves.

Changes to this notice

We will review and update this notice in line with best practice and changes in legislation. We will always have an up-to-date version of the notice on this page and clearly signpost its location on the site under ‘Data Protection’.

Delivery Policy

We deliver the courses on the dates advertised. If they get cancelled we will inform participants and refund their fee.

It is up to the individuals signing up for a particular course to make sure they are available on the dates advertised.
